USUI REIKI PROGRAM
This program of reiki will teach you what is currently taught in Western reiki practice as well as incorporate Japanese reiki techniques. This is done by reconstructing the teachings of Usui and Hayashi from information provided from various sources, which lead back to Japanese reiki teachers. Reiki is a system for healing and for spiritual development. Much of what was taught as a part of reiki never made it to North America, and it is only recently that we are learning more. I feel that there is much to explore with reiki, and the best way to do this is to bring to Western reiki practice what has been left back in the Orient. I teach three levels of reiki as outlined below. You will receive a manual in each of the three levels. Please note that I do not teach Reiki One and Two together as a weekend course because of the amount of information that is taught and given.
LEVEL ONE/SHODEN (BEGINNING) COURSE
Shoden is the beginning level of reiki. In this level, you are introduced to the basics of reiki and the foundation on which you need to build on for the next levels. The history of reiki is taught as well as the spiritual aspect on which reiki is based. Some possible explanations of how reiki works are given by looking at some different energy systems. An overview of the reiki levels is discussed. The Western system of hand positions is taught along with Japanese techniques and Japanese reiki practice. You are taught how to give treatments, one-on-one or in a group. Colour healing and crystal work are introduced at this level. The link between reiki and martial arts is introduced. Some myths about reiki are discussed. Four attunements are given. Practice time is allotted for giving treatments and for learning the Japanese techniques. The manual for this course is 59 pages. Including appendices, the manual amounts to 103 pages. There is a quiz at this level. Although passing the quiz is not a requirement to advance to level two, it is a guide to how well you understand reiki and related topics.

LEVEL TWO/OKUDEN (INNER TEACHINGS) COURSE
Okuden will build on the foundation we laid in the first level. The concept of symbols is discussed. The three reiki symbols are taught along with their uses. Visualization techniques are taught to help learn the reiki symbols. Mental and emotional healing is taught. Distance healing is taught. Some more Japanese techniques are taught. Hayashi's reiki guide is discussed. Additional techniques for colour healing and crystal work are discussed. Aromatherapy is introduced at this level. Reiki and martial arts are discussed further. Some more myths about reiki are discussed. One attunement is given. More practice time is allotted for giving treatments using the symbols and for learning the Japanese techniques. The manual for this course is 63 pages. Including appendices, the manual amounts to 225 pages. There is a quiz at this level. Although passing the quiz is not a requirement to advance to level three, it is a guide to how well you understand reiki and related topics.

LEVEL THREE/SHINPIDEN (MYSTERY TEACHINGS) COURSE
Shinpiden will deepen your understanding of reiki. The concept of "Master" versus teacher will be discussed. You will be given the final reiki symbol. You will learn how to connect with reiki energy in new ways. You will be taught how to use the symbols more intuitively. More Japanese techniques are taught. You will learn how to give attunements in-person and distantly. You will learn how to teach and promote reiki. One attunement is given. Practice time is allotted for giving attunements and for learning the Japanese techniques.

Unsure about taking a reiki course? Please download my reiki program brochure for more information on why you might want to take this program of reiki. If you have already studied reiki before, you are encouraged to take this program. It will be different than most reiki programs currently being offered in North America (and especially in Toronto, Canada). This is not to say that this program is better, only that it is different. It is a unique program of reiki based on my own personal studies and spiritual path. Like Usui, it is my desire to share what I have learned with you and others.
COURSE AUDITS

Are you interested in taking a reiki course again? Are you curious as to what other techniques and information is taught in reiki? Anyone previously attuned and certified in Reiki One, Two, or Three (Teacher/Master) may come and audit my courses. You may audit up to your level. Reiki Ones can audit only the Reiki One course, Reiki Twos may audit either Reiki One, Reiki Two, or both courses, and Reiki Threes may audit any one or any two or all three levels.
As a course auditor, you will be able to review the course topics (some of them may be new to you) and participate fully in the class (i.e., you may take advantage of the practice time). You will receive a copy of the reiki manual for the course you audit. You may also choose to have attunements by me for your appropriate level. Please bring your certificate(s) (or copies) for verification of your level. (Note that I only need to see your certificate(s) - I do not keep copies on file.) You may also email me your certificate(s) for verification.
As an auditor, you are requested to fill out a short audit survey about the course, your experience with it, and your experience with it compared to other courses. Please make sure to hand this into me at the end of the course. The audit survey is requested strictly as a measure of how well my courses are being taught. In the long-term, your input is valuable in allowing me to provide the best possible reiki program.
Please note that you will not be receiving a reiki certificate from me when you audit, as I am not monitoring your progress in the course. If you wish to receive a certificate for my courses, you will have to sign up for the course as a student, in which case I can check your progress through the course.
If you wish to audit one of my courses, please check the schedule above and contact me regarding fees, times, and location. The fees to audit a course are, obviously, lower than taking a course as a student. Past students of mine are allowed to audit my courses for free.

ATTUNEMENTS/REIJU
Not interested in taking a course, but want another attunement/reiju? This service is available to anyone trained and attuned to reiki. This is not a "re-attunement" as you can never lose reiki. Usui used to give reiju to his students at every reiki meeting, not just when you were taught a level. In keeping with his tradition, I offer additional attunements/reiju. Please note that since this does not involve any reiki training, you will only receive attunements/reiju up to your level. If you have Reiki One, you will only receive a Reiki One attunement. If you have Reiki Two, you may choose to have Reiki One, Reiki Two, or both. Reiki Masters/Teachers may choose to have any level, any two levels, or all three. Please bring your certificate(s) (or copies) for verification of your level. (Note that I only need to see your certificate - I do not keep copies on file.) You may also email me your certificate(s) for verification. Anyone who has taken one of my courses may come for a free attunement/reiju.
I provide free distant attunements/reiju; however, the same conditions apply as for in-person attunements/reiju. You will only receive attunements/reiju up to your level. Please email me copies of your certificate(s) for verification of your level. (Note that I will not keep copies of your certificates after I verify your level.)
